Java Topology Suite
The Java Topology Suite or JTS will be a collection of Java classes that implement the fundamental operations required to validate a given geo-spatial data set to a known topological specification. Conversely, the suite can also be used to build an application to clean geo-spatial data sets to a known topological specification or integrate two or more data sets compiled using different technologies. In essence the JTS project will develop a set of tools that implement the functionality of the simple feature specification outside a database environment.
