BC Forestry Roads & Administrative Boundary Data Project

The BC Forestry Roads and Administrative Boundary Data project will consolidate and condition Forestry Road and Administrative Boundary information to enable decision making in support of management of the Forest Resources of British Columbia. The Forestry Roads data set is many times larger than all other road types in the Province, based on total length. The project results will solve many existing information management problems within the Ministry of Forests including, data duplication and redundancy, multiple data sources, non-existing or inconsistent data standards (feature class, attribute and metadata, etc.), and other data management inefficiencies, by providing single source, topologically correct spatial information that is "analysis ready".
