Results of the GeoSkills Sponsorship to Attend the Annual Conferences of the ACMLA, CAG, CCA and CRSA
The GeoSkills Program, part of the GeoConnections initiative, would like to thank everyone who submitted an application for sponsorship to attend the annual conferences of the Association of Canadian Map Libraries and Archives (ACMLA), the Canadian Association of Geographers (CAG), the Canadian Cartographic Association (CCA) and the Canadian Regional Science Association (CRSA) to be held in Victoria, British Columbia, from May 27 to May 31, 2003.
As always, it was very difficult to select the finalists, as the quality of all the applications was very good. The successful candidates are:
Catherine Drouin, Université
du Québec à Trois-Rivières
John Maclachlan, McMaster University
Kimberly A. Wahl, Acadia University
The GeoSkills sponsorship covers conference registration, travel costs, accommodation, and meals for students residing outside the Victoria area.
Contact information will be kept on file to inform all applicants of future sponsorship opportunities, which will also be posted on the GeoConnections Web site under "Private- and public-sector opportunities." If you have any questions or comments, or do not wish to have your name added to the GeoConnections database, please contact Annie Laponsee at:
