Land Information Ontario and GeoConnections enable visualization of Ontario's geospatial information
This project has three primary outcomes. First, it will significantly expand the data available to users through the Canadian Geospatial Data Infrastructure (CGDI). Second, it will benefit other agencies that use CGDI standards by providing access to more geospatial data. And third, it will further integrate Land Information Ontario (LIO) and the CGDI.The Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources is greatly enlarging its presence within the CGDI by deploying CGDI-endorsed standards and services as the primary means for users to discover and access geospatial data. By modifying its web mapping capability to comply with the CGDI standard Web Mapping Service, LIO is enabling users to visualize and exchange geospatial information online.
