Federal, Provincial and Regional Government Geospatial Data Warehouses Through a Fish Habitat Portal
The goal of this project is to facilitate connection and interoperability of major Canadian geospatial and non-spatial fish habitat related data warehouses at the watershed and community levels. To achieve this goal, we propose to develop a Web-based FHP utilizing metadata management, Internet Map Serving, Web-development Commercial-Off-The-Shelf(COTS) software and scripting tools. The FHP will assist field biologists and officers, as well as their office based managers, to achieve their daily objectives and long term goals of sustainable fisheries resource management in Canada.
