Advisory for Public Health

The vision of GeoConnections is to enable the public health community to improve decision making by partnering with the program and using the Canadian Geospatial Data Infrastructure (CGDI). To help achieve this vision, GeoConnections established a Public Health Advisory Committee that comprises senior public health representatives from a full range of stakeholder groups.

The role of the Advisory Committee is:

  • to provide advice to GeoConnections to ensure that the program meets the needs of the public health community; and
  • to provide advice to managers of the CGDI's various components to ensure that the CGDI functions as an operational asset for the public health community.
